Director of Centre for Social Development & Research Foundation (CSDR Foundation) Mr Vivek Sharma has received the award for young entrepreneur at 23rd NAI achievement awards, 2015. As an entrepreneur the diversity of this young and energetic enthusiast can be seen in the area of investigative work related to crime against women, organising resources and relief activities for victims of earthquake in Sikkim, operation and management work of night shelter for homeless, working for awareness on ‘female foeticide’, contributing to stopping girl child marriage, organisation of blood donation and tree plantation drives, organising events like distribution of cloths and essential items, non-formal education, sports awareness campaign, health awareness, entertainment & assistance in school admission of children of the refugees. These are some of the contributions that had been identified by the team from Newspapers Association of India. When contacted Mr Sharma told us that the CSDR Foundation had come to being with a mission to spread hope and improve lives. Their vision is to improve the condition of health, education, peace and prosperity in the world through mutual cooperation. They want to continue to generate opportunities for making small contributions (for improving the condition of health, education, peace and prosperity of all beings) specially by those who cannot work full time on the above issues. He had also been working for the development of India-Korea cultural/trade/education relationship since 2013.
