NEW DELHI: A day after a terror attack in Quetta killed 61 people , Union minister Venkaiah Naidu said he hoped that Pakistan now "is sorry for encouraging terrorism", ANI reported.

"Pakistan should realise that using terrorism as a state policy is suicidal. If you encourage terrorism, you will becomevictim of the same one day...Hope Pakistan will realise this now and is sorry for encouraging terrorism, and will dismantle all terror camps and handover people behind 26/11," Naidu said, even as he condemned the Quetta attack.

The Central minister further said that India wants to have a good relationship with all of its neighbours.

"We always wanted a friendly relationship with all our neighbours but Pakistan needs to change its state policy," he said, referring to the widely-held belief that security agencies there are shielding what they call 'good terrorists.

In Pakistan, a 'good terrorist' is considered one who attacks India and Afghanistan and a 'bad terrorist' is one who targets Pakistan. In fact Pathankot attack mastermind Masood Azhar and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed both roam freely in Pakistan and often also make incendiary speeches.

Yesterday's attack on a police training academy in Quetta was clearly by 'bad terrorists'. India, the US and several other countries have urged Pakistan to take action on all terrorists on their soil and to not distinguish between terrorists, as that's the only way to root out terror. Pakistani newspaper, The Express Tribune, in an editorial today, strongly condemned this delineation and blamed it for the Quetta attack.

"Terrorism has no religion, the entire world must come together to expose it. It is an enemy of mankind. Hope Pakistan realises it," Naidu, too, said today.
